Have you ever been excited to return to a location that held a meaningful place in your heart, and when you returned to this destination things didn't quite live up to the grand expectations that had been built up in your mind? Well, if you have then you might have an idea of what our overall experience the second time around in South East Asia had in store for us.
After experiencing such a perfect maiden exploration of this foreign land, chance alone dictated that a repeat of such luck was foolish to assume. The combination of multiply set backs as well as this unrealistic expectation culminated in a less then ideal journey. Would I say it was a bad trip … No. There were some great parts as well as some shitty ones. But hey, life in general comes in many shades. We made some amazing memories and learned some lessons along the way.
